Our focus is on your feet

The London Foot And Ankle Centre is both the largest and longest established treatment centre of its kind in the UK.

During the average lifetime, our feet cover over 112,000km, which is equivalent to walking four times around the world. It is therefore not surprising that 75 per cent of people will experience foot or ankle problems at some stage during their lives.

The London Foot and Ankle Centre (LFAC), treat a range of foot and ankle injuries, ranging from the routine to the complex. Whatever the problem, our team of specialists will use the most advanced techniques to help each patient achieve maximum mobility and eradicate pain.

Established in 2003 by Mark Davies, LFAC is both the largest and the longest established treatment centre of its kind, focusing entirely on the foot and the ankle. Our specialist team at the London Foot and Ankle Centre is comprised of five consultant orthopaedic surgeons, and each surgeon works closely with our podiatrists, who specialise in gait assessment and non-surgical treatment of foot and ankle problems.

Our emphasis is upon minimally-invasive treatment where possible, and the use of advanced techniques to achieve maximum mobility and eradicate foot and ankle pain. All of our surgeons focus on the foot and ankle and are specialists within their field.

We offer a wide range of treatments, some of which include:

  • Bunions and toe deformities.

  • Achilles tendon rupture and tendonitis.

  • Chronic ankle instability and ankle osteoarthritis.

  • Heel pain (plantar fasciitis).

  • Sports injuries and trauma accidents.

The Bunion Treatment Centre is part of LFAC, and with over 14 year’s experience of treating Bunions, we can advise you on the best course of treatment to eradicate pain and restore normality to misshapen feet and toes.

As well as using the traditional surgical method of Scarf Osteotomy we also offer minimally invasive surgery.  We were the first in the capital to introduce a new form of minimally invasive bunion surgery and we now have over 10 years of experience in this approach.

Mr. David Redfern is currently the most experienced UK surgeon in minimally invasive bunion surgery and is nationally and internationally recognised for his expertise in minimally invasive techniques.
